Patna : A State Vigilance Investigation Bureau team from headquarters Patna headed by DSP Gopal Paswan on December 6, 2018, arrested Executive Engineer, Building Division, Biharsharif, Nalanda district, Subhash Kumar Gupt, from his office located on Hospital Road, Anand Marg, Biharsharif, accepting Rs 75,000 as bribe.
Sanjay Kumar of Amber Mohiuddinagar locality under Biharsharif police station in Nalanda district had lodged a complaint with State Vigilance Investigation Bureau alleging that Executive Engineer, Building Division, Biharsharif, Subhash Kumar Gupt, was demanding Rs 1 lakh from him for clearing his revised estimate for construction of Administrative Building and Examination Hall of Polytechnic, Ashthawan, and getting the fund released for the same.
During verification by Vigilance Bureau, the allegation against Executive Engineer Gupt was found true after which the bureau laid a trap to arrest him. The bureau sleuths arrested Gupta from his office chambers accepting bribe. The vigilance bureau had registered a case against Gupt on December 4, 2018.
