Patna : A State Vigilance Investigation Bureau team from headquarters Patna headed by DSP Mohammad Zamiruddin arrested Ajit Kumar, an Assistant at the office of Sub-Divisional Animal Husbandry Officer, Jamui, in Jamui district, on December 7, 2018, accepting Rs 20,000 as bribe. The bureau team arrested Ajit Kumar from his office.

Bal Govind Singh, a resident of village Maldah under Barbigha police station in Sheikhpura district and a retired night guard at Animal Husbandry Hospital, Aliganj, had lodged a complaint with State Vigilance Investigation Bureau alleging that Ajit Kumar, a clerk at Sub-Divisional Animal Husbandry Office, Jamui, was asking for Rs 20,000 as bribe to release his salary arrear and retiral benefits.

During verification by the Vigilance Bureau, the allegation against Ajit Kumar was found true after which a trap was laid to arrest him. The bureau team nabbed Ajit Kumar accepting bribe from his office.
