Samastipur : Police on November 9, 2017, morning, found body of youth hanging from a tree at village Jitwarpur Nizamat under Mufassil Police Station in Samastipur district. The deceased was identified as Ramesh Kumar Rai, 20, son of Ram Sagar Rai, of village Belsandi under Bibhutipur police station in Samastipur district.
Ramesh used to do videography work at Singhia Ghat Chowk in the district. The villagers saw the body hanging from a tree and informed the Mufassil police station. Police sent the body to Sadar Hospital, Samastipur, for post-mortem. Police suspect that Ramesh was strangulated to death at some other place and the killers hanged his body from a tree to present it as a case of suicide. Mufassil police station have lodged a case of murder in this connection and started investigation into it.
