Patna: After BJP, Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) has also demanded action against the DMs and SPs of some districts for their alleged partisan role during the Durga Puja and Muharram violence at dfferent places. The VHP alleged the adminisration worked against the majority community and arrested large number of Hindus and allowed the Muslims to have a field day during the processions.
In a memorandum addressed to the governor, VHP’s Bihar’s president Nand Kishore said idols of Durga were damaged at several places and processions during immersion were attacked. At many places, processions were not even allowed by the police, he alleged.
Nand Kishore led a 11 members delegation to the DM of Patna with a copy of memorandum addressed to Governor on Saturday. The memorandum demanded action agaisnt the officers whose role was partisan and communal.
Two days back, the BJP had also submitted a memorandum to the governor alleging anti-Hindu action of DMs and SPs in some districts and wanted their suspension.
