Patna : World No 22 Donna Vekic, 22, Croatia, beat World No 56 Tatjana Maria, 31, Germany, in three-sets in the semi-finals on June 15, 2019, to enter the final of WTA Nottingham Open. Vekic, the 2nd seed and 2017 champion, beat Maria 5-7, 6-0, 6-0 in the semi-finals making a strong comeback.
Vekic broke Maria’s service 6 times in the match while the latter broke her service just once. Vekiv woc 12 games in a row in the match to 3 by Maria.
