Patna : The meeting of Vice-chancellors ( VCs) held at Raj Bhavan on May 17, 2018, discussed ways to accelerate the pace of development of higher education including implementation of Choice Based Credit System, centralised online test for admission to BEd course, online admission process in universities and colleges, and increasing green coverage on the campuses of universities and colleges in Bihar.

Pricipal Secretary, Education Department, R K Mahajan, Principal Secretary to the Governor Vivek Kumar Singh, Principal Secretary, Labour Resouces Department, Deepak Kumar Singh, Secretary, Science & Technolgy Department, Rahul Singh, Chairperson, Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB), Anand Kishore, and other senior official participated at the meeting.

Mahajan said that the government will accelerate the pace of development of higher education in Bihar keeping in mind the best practices in other states besides considering the suggestions of the VCs. Principal Secretary to the Governor Vivek Kumar Singh said that BEd session is being regularised. Principal Secretary, Labour Resources, Deepak Kumar Singh, stressed on skill development of young students. Secretary, S&T, Rahul Singh, emphasised on maximum use of technology in univerities.
