VC, VKSU, forms 3-Member panel to probe into expenditure on holding Senate meeting

Ara : Vice Chancellor (VC) Veer Kuer Singh University (VKSU), Ara, Devi Prasad Tiwari, on July 13, 2019,  formed a three- member committee comprising Sukhda Pandey, Vashishth Singh, and Rajesh Kumar Sinha, all Senate members on Saturday in inquire into the expenditure incurred on holding the Senate meetings of the university in February 2019.

Different student unions had alleged irregularities in expenditure on holding Senate meeting of the university on February 23, 2019, and February 28, 2019, and demanded inquiry into it.

Amit Kumar Singh, outgoing student union president of the VKSU, said that the university held meetings twice in a month i.e. on February 23, 2019, and February 28, 2019, but there was a big difference in the expenditure incurred on holding the two meetings. He complained to the VC, VKSU, on June 17, 2019,  and demanded inquiry into it.

On the demand of the students, the VC, VKSU, formed a three- member committee to inquire into the matter. The VC said that action would be taken if involvement of any official of the VKSU came to light in the inquiry report.
