Patna : Bihar Governor Satya Pal Malik on May 17, 2018, said that the state universities were free to implement their development and innovative schemes. Addressing a day long workshop of Registrars of different universities of State at Raj Bhavan, Governor Malik said that Bihar can attain its old glory in the field of education by working with dedication, honesty and sincerity maintaining transparency.

Governor Malik said that Vice-Chancellor, Registrar, and Examination Controller are three important functionaries of a university hence they should work in tandem to imlement development schemes in a timeframe. The Governor cum Chancellor of state varsities said that all the newly appointed VCs and Registrars were very talented and better results were  expected from them. He expressed hope that the Regisrtars having military background would accelerate the pace of reforms in their respective university.

Principal Secretary to the Governor Vivek Kumar Singh stressed on quick disposal of court matters by the universities and implementation of decisions taken at the Chancellor’s meeting with the VCs. He also emphasised on maintaining financial discipline by the universities.

Patna University VC Prof Rash Bihari Singh made power point presentation on Academic and Exam Calendar, functions of Registrar, and Biomentric attendace of teachers and Students while VC, Munger University, Prof Ranjit Verma, made a presentation on registration of new colleges and payment of salary to the teachers and non-teaching employees through RTGS system.
