Varsities asked to complete appointment of Guest Faculty subjectwise in January

Patna : Principal Secretary to the Governor Vivek Kumar Singh on January 11, 2019, directed the Registrars of the state universities to complete the appointment process of Guest Faculty subjectwise in the current month itself.

A meeting of Registrars was convened at Raj Bhavan on January 11 on the directive of Governor cum Chancellor Lalji Tandon to review the appointment of Guest Faculty subjectwise in different universities. Singh informed the Registrars that the Governor has ordered that teaching work should not suffer in any university for want of teachers. He asked the Registrars to complete the appointment of Guest Faculty following the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) guidelines to fill up the existing vacancies of teachers in different subjects.

Singh also directed the Registrars to ensure Biometric system of attendance in the universities/ colleges where the Biometric machine had not yet been installed in January itself. He asked the Registrars to constitute a cell at the university level to monitor and analyse the attendance.

The Governor’s Secretariat has also directed all the universities to send their respective recommendations for grant of affiliation to different colleges by January 15, 2019, at any cost.
