Patna: The validity of vehicle documents including driving license, permit, and registration, has been extended from June 30 to September 30, 2020.  Orders have been issued in this connection by Bihar Government and all Joint Commissioner cum Secretary,
Regional Transport Authority, all District Transport Officers, Motor Vehicle Inspectors (MVIs) and all enforcement under inspectors have been directed to comply with it.

State Transport Secretary Sanjay Kumar Agarwal informed that in view of order of Union Road Transport and Highways Ministry, validity of fitness certificate, all types of permits, learner’s license, driving license, registration or other papers whose validity expired on
February 1, 2020, will be considered valid till September 30, 2020. During this time no one will be disturbed due to validity of document.
Agarwal said that due to lockdown enforced across the country in the wake of Coronavirus pndemic, a large number of drivers have not been able to get their driving license, registration or other documents renewed. The Transport Secretary has instructed all traffic police and all transport officials not to disturb anyone unnecessarily.
