US Ambassador to India calls on Bihar Governor, CM

Patna : US Ambassador to India Kenneth I Juster, 2018, who reached Bihar on March 23, 2018, on a two-day visit, called on Bihar Governor Satya Pal Malik and CM Nitish Kumar at their official residences here on March 24 and apprised them of the US’ desire to help the state in its march to economic progress.

Juster met Malik at the Raj Bhavan and informed him that the US saw huge potential in agriculture and electronics in Bihar. Juster also informed  Governor Malik that he was impressed by the state’s glorious historical and cultural legacy as also the newly-constructed Bihar Museum, and expressed his desire to undertake more such tours of Bihar. Juster also present a book to Malik.
Bihar Governor Malik told Juster that the state government has focusing on infrastructure development including road and power besides strengthening the health centres. The Governor said that Bihar has a lot of postential for agro based industries. He presented Juster with a book on Champaran Satyagraha authored by the country’s first President Rajendra Prasad, an Angavastram and an idol of Lord Buddha.

Juster visited Bodh Gaya and the Patna Sahib Gurudwara, besides interacting with local entrepreneurs here. He met CM Nitish Kumar at his 1, Anne Marg residence. Juster appreciated the chief minister for the development initiatives taken by his government.
