Patna : Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) and BJP MP from Nawada, Bihar, Giriraj Singh has been named in a case of alleged grabbing of land belonging to a dalit in his home state.

The FIR against Singh and 32 others was lodged on February 2, 2018, by the order of a Special SC&ST court where the complainant Ram Narain Prasad had filed an applicationĀ  seeking directions to police for registering a case against the accused, according to SHO, Danapur police station, Patna, Sandeep Kumar Singh. Investigation is on into the matter.
The complainant, a native of village Asopur, alleged that the accused grabbed a land parcel of two acre and six decimal that he owned. He claimed he was abused when he protested their action.

BJP spokesman Rajiv Ranjan said Giriraj Singh is a law abiding citizen and will present his side of the story before the court when the time comes.
