Union Minister Choubey has verbal duel with officials at Buxar

Buxar : The BJP candidate from Buxar parliamentary constituency and Union Minister Ashwini Choubey allegedly violated  Model Code of Conduct and had a verbal duel with the officials of the district when they queried about it from him.

After being nominated as the BJP candidate from Buxar parliamentary constituency, Union Minister Choubey reached Buxar on March 30,2019, evening, and offered prayer at Brahmeshwar Nath temple at Brahmpur in Buxar district and later reached Quila Maidan in a procession comprising several vehicles to address a public meeting. He had more vehicles than permitted under Model Code of Conduct. He also allegedly held the meeting even after expiry of time.

On getting information, SDO, Buxar, Krishna Kumar Upadhayay, and SDPO Satish Kumar, reached the meeting venue and queried Ashwini Choubey about the number of vehicles in his carcade and also apprised him of the provisions of the Model Code of Conduct. At this, Choubey lost his temper and allegedly misbehaved with them and later left the place with his supporters.

SDO, Krishna Kumar Upadhayay, said that FIR would be lodged against the owners of the vehicles for violation of Model Code of Conduct. He said that an inquiry into the matter has also been ordered.
