Undertrial prisoner dies at Ara Sadar Hospital

Ara : An undertrial prisoner of Ara jail Jitendra Mohan Sinha died at Ara Sadar Hospital during treatment in the late evening on June 15, 2018. Bhojpur DM Sanjeev Kumar has sought complete  information about the deceased from Ara  Jail Superintendent Niranjan Pandit.

Ara Jail Superintendent Nirajan Pandit said that Jitendra Mohan Sinha was Chairman cum  Managing Director (CMD) in the DGN Group of Companies at Ranchi in Jharkhand. He also ran an office at Ahmad Complex under Ara Town police station in Bhojpur district. He was a named accused in a case lodged with Lalpur police station, Ranchi in Jharkh, in connection with the embezzlement of about Rs 200 crore of 15,000 investors and was allegedly trying to escape with about Rs 8 crore of investors from Ara.

Lalpur police had arrested Jitendra Mohan Sinha, owner of the company Vishal Kumar Sinha, and Director of the Company Prashant Kumar, in case no 220/16 and Ara police had brought all of them to Ara under judicial custody in case no 386/16 lodged with Ara Town police station on September 9, 2017, and they were lodged in Ara Jail.

Jitendra Mohan Sinha had undergone operation of his backbone at Ara Sadar Hospital and was under treatment at Ara Jail hospital. On June 15, Jitendra Mohan Sinha, son of Kamini Mohan Sinha of Lodi Katara in Patna district, complained of chest pain and was admitted to Ara Sadar Hospital immediately where he breathed his last during treatment.
