Two youth drowned to death in pond at Bhojpur village

Ara : Two youth were drowned to death in a pond while taking a dip at Bahari Mahadev under Piro police station in Bhojpur District, on October 3, 2019 evening.

The deceased were identified as Rishabh Raj alias Golu, 20, son of Raju Prasad Gupta of Ward No 11, and Abhishek Kumar alias Monu, 19, son of late Gopal Sah of Ward No 12, Piro. Later, police fished out the bodies from the pond with the help of villagers and brought the bodies over to Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem.

SHO, Piro police station, said that Rishabh Raj and Abhishek Kumar along with their friend had gone to Bahari Mahadev to offer prayer where Rishabh and Abhishek went to the pond to take a dip while their friend was standing on the bank of the pond. While taking bath, Rishabh Raj and Abhishek Kumar drowned in the pond. Their friend ,who was standing on the bank, raised an alarm. Hearing his cry, the locals rushed to the spot and also informed police.
