Ara : Some unidentified armed persons killed two woman around midnight on October 16, 2017, at village Sedaha under Tarari police station in Bhojpur district. Police recovered the bodies from their room lying in a pool of blood on October 17 morning and brought them over to Ara Sadar Hospital for post -mortem. The murder of the two women one of them 75 year old and another 50 has created sensation in the area.
Piro DSP Reshu Krishna said that Vishwanath Singh had two wives. Vishwanath did not have any child from his first wife Motiharo Devi hence he married Kanti Devi with the consent of his first wife and had a daughter Kajal from her. Vishwanath Singh married his daughter and gifted all his properties to his daughter with the consent of his two wives. After the death of Vishwanath Singh five years ago, Mohiharo Devi, 75, and Kanti Devi, 50, lived at their house with their daughter. On October 15 night, someone slit throat of Kanti Devi from behind when she was working in her kitchen and then slit throat of Motiharo Devi who was sleeping. The reasons behind the two murders is yet to be ascertained.
