Motihari : Two teenage boys were feared drowned in Gandak Main Canal near Bhada under Harsiddhi police station in East Champaran District in North Bihar on October 9, 2019, while immersing the idol of Goddess Durga. The Gandak Main Canal is deep and at present full of water. The locals are searching for the two boys but to no avail so far.
SDPO, Areraj, Jyoti Prakash, with SDM reached the spot and search operation is on. Police said both Upendra Thakur and Gautam Kumar are natives of village Olha and were yet to be located. This idol of Goddess Durga was brought over from Baudhi Mai temple on tractor trailer for immersion followed by hundreds of villagers.
