Motihari : Around two dozen unidentified criminals forcibly entered two houses at village Lalua under Ghorasahan  police station (PS) in
East Champaran in North Bihar on January 28, 2021, night, and  shot dead Amit Lal Yadav, 35  and Gama Rai, 55, when they were  sleeping in their bedrooms and escaped on foot towards south. Both  the deceased were farmer. SHO, Ghorasahan PS, Akhilesh Kumar Mishra, rushed to the spot and sent the bodies to Sadar Hospital, Motihari, for post-mortem.

Tapeshwar Prasad Yadav, father of  Amit Kumar, has lodged an FIR  against 13 named persons of the village  and police have arrested 3 accused, who were remanded to judicial custody. He further said that land dispute appeared to be reason behind the incident. He said the manner in which the assailants pumped bullets into the bodies of victims indicated that their motive was to kill them. They were contract killers as both the deceased were involved in land dispute for last two years with a villager, Tapeshwar Prasad Yadav said.

According to police,  one of the relatives of Amit was killed last year  by criminals. Police is investigating the case.
