Saharsa : Two persons were shot dead in separate incidents including one at Saharsa Town in Saharsa District in North Bihar on January 6, 2020, evening. Police remain clueless about the identity and whereabouts of the assailants in both the cases.
Mantosh Thakur, 25, who worked at a Mobile Phone shop located at Mahavir Chowkt and had got married on November 22, 2019, was first shot at and then also stabbed to death near Chandni Chowk and Sangam Vihar Hotel under Sadar Police Station, Saharsa, around 10 pm on January 6, 2020, when he was returning home from his work place. The unidentified assailants were waiting for Mantosh near Sangam Vihar Hotel. Police, on getting information from the locals about the incident, rushed Mantosh to Saharsa Sadar Hospital where the doctors declared him dead.
In another incident, unidentified persons shot dead Amik Mandal, 45, on January 6 evening at the door of his house at village Dotara under Basnahi police station in Saharsa District. Amik Mandal died on the spot. Basnahi police is investigating into the incident.
