Ara : Two youth were killed in separate incidents at different places in Bhojpur district on October 15, 2019. Police brought the bodies over to Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. FIRs have been lodged with police in connection with the two incidents. Tension prevails in and around the areas concerned  following the incidents.

Some unidentified armed miscreants shot dead an activist of the CPI(ML) Jhari Paswan alias Jhari Pahalwan at Tarari Bazaar under Tarari police station on October 15 morning on Tuesday. The deceased was a resident of Bihata Charugram village under Imadpur police station in Bhojpur district. He was an active member of the CPI(ML) but later associated with the sand business. He had contested District Board election unsuccessfully in 2011.

The resident of the area blocked Sakaddi-Nasariganj main road with the body under the leadership of Tarari MLA Sudama Prasad and also went on rampage and  paralysed movement of vehicles for about three hours raising slogans against the district administration. They were demanding compensation of Rs 10 lakh to the next of kin of the deceased, a government job to one of his dependents, and arrest of the accused at the earliest. The blockade was lifted after positive response from the police officials.

After this incident, two motorcycle borne armed miscreants shot dead a youth Prabodh Kumar Yadav, son of Nand Kishore Yadav, and shot at and injured another at village Rajpur under Imadpur police station in Bhojpur district near Tarari Bazaar area on October 15. Police force rushed to the spot and are investigating the matter. Prabodh Kumar Yadav was allegedly killed in retaliation of murder of the CPI(ML) leader Jhari Paswan alias Jhari Pahalwan. Pramod Kumar Yadav was a truck driver at Raurkela in Odisha.
