Motihari : Two persons were shot at and injured by five persons in a gang war on Chandmari-MS College Road in Chandmari locality of Motihari, headquarters of East Champaran District in North Bihar, on June 10, 2020, late night. The injured were admitted to a private nursing home at Motihari. Police reached the place of occurrence and after preliminary inquiry raids are being conducted to nab the criminals involved  in the firing.

SHO, Town Police Station, Motihari, Abhay Kumar, said that the injured had been identified  as Karan Gupta and Rajesh Mishra, who
have named five persons accusing them of firing at them.The SHO said that Rajan Sahni gang members were behind this shootout. Police have detained five persons in this connection, the SHO added. It was a gang war  between two groups for supremacy over rail rack  contract, the SHO said.

According to police sources, the members of the two gangs were sitting near roadside in Chandmari locality on June 10, 2020, night, and after a heated exchange five persons opened fire on Karan and Rajesh.
