Two persons drown to death in separate incidents in Bhojpur

Ara : Saraswati Kumari, 4, daughter of Pankaj Paswan of Ward No 1, Jagdishpur, in Bhojpur District, fell into a pond and died on September 25, 2019.

Later, police fished out the body and brought it over to Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. SHO, Jagdishpur police station, said that Saraswati Kumari had gone near Shiv Ji Pokhar (pond) along with some other children on September 25. While playing, she fell into the pond. Hearing her cry, the locals tried to save her but in vain.

In another incident, a fisherman drowned to death into swirling Sone river at Koelwar on September 25 while fishing in the river. The deceased was identified as Birendra Chaudhary, 40. Later, police with the help of divers fished out the body and brought it over to Ara Sadar Hospital post-mortem.
