Two persons charred to death in fire at Cloth Shop in Vaishali

Hajipur :   Two persons were charred to death in a fire that broke out at Maa Durga Vastralay located at Betala Chowk on Mahua -Hajipur road in Vaishali district in the wee hours on January 21, 2020.

According to police, one of the victims  Manjit Kumar,  was identified as an employee of the shop, while another victim Bharat Kumar worked at a nea by tea- stall. Both were sleeping at the shop when fire broke out there.

SDPO, Mahua, Nurul Haque, said  a case of unnatural death has been lodged  in this connection with  Mahua police station  and police are investigating into the incident.  Krishnanand Jha , SHO, Mahua police station, said  electric  short circuit is suspected to have caused the fire . The bodies were sent for post-mortem .
