Patna: Two naxals including a self- styled zonal commander were arrested by Aurangabad police on Tuesday from areas falling under the jurisdictions of Rafiganj and Madanpur police stations. According to a press release issued by Aurangabad SP office, police teams recovered a countrymade rifle, eight cartridges, three cellphones and 13 sim cards of separate companies from the possession of arrested naxals.

Aurangabad SP Satyaprakash said that acting on secret information, district police as well as para-military men conducted raids at suspected hideouts of naxals under Rafiganj and Madanpur police stations and arrested the self-styled zonal commander Rampravesh Yadav alias Damkalji and Vishnu Mehta. He said that arrested naxals were wanted in several incidents of naxal violence in Gaya and Aurangabad districts.
