Jamui : Two naxalites in uniform were killed in an encounter with police, STF and security forces at village Kumartari in Bhimbandh forest area under Barhat police station in Jamui district at 5.30 am on June 18, 2017. Police have recovered the bodies of two naxalites.
Confirming the death of two naxalites in uniform , Jamui SP Jayant Kant said that the security forces also seized two looted police rifles and live rounds from their possession besides few bags. Security forces are still searching for the retreat of naxalites numbering around 20. In fact, the SP said, the encounter began late June 17 night itself and was still on.
About 125 CRPF jawans including Cobra jawans were had surrounded the naxalites from Bhimbandh side, sources said
