Sasaram : Rohtas police arrested two naxalites including a woman from Rampur Farm under Amjhaur police station in Rohtas district and forwarded them jail on February 25 evening for allegedly demanding levy from the brick kiln owners and construction companies. The arrested nazalites were identified as Gidia Devi of village Mahuaw under Badem police station in Aurangabad district and Mithilesh Rai alias Mithilesh Rajbhar of Tendui village under Pipara police station in Palamu district in Jharkhand.

ASP (Operations) Durgesh Kumar said that the arrested naxlites confessed they were active members of Tritiye  Prastuti Committee (TPC), a naxal organization, and worked on the directive of their area commander Upendra Kushwaha alias Sandesh. They also admitted their organization’s involvement in demanding levy from a construction company in Kaimur hills under Adhaura police station recently and burning of JCB under Baddi and Chenari police stations. They said they demanded levy using their mobile phones which police seized from their possession.

The ASP (Operations) said that they also worked for inducting misguided youth into their organizations.  He said they lured four persons including a woman for their induction in the organization four days ago but police rescued them. ASP (operations) said that their mobile phones were put on surveillance and police succeeded in arresting them on the basis of surveillance report.
