Sitamarhi: A team of Riga police station in Sitamarhi district under the leadership of SHO Lallan Kumar on May 10, 2018, arrested two miscreants : Surendra Thakur and Prince Kumar, both residents of village Darpa in East Champaran district, for demanding ‘Rangdari) (extortion amount) from a Potato delaer.

They were demanding hefty amount from a potato dealer of village Sangram-Phandah from a mobile phone using a Nepali SIM card. Two police men in the guise of potato dealer went to a fixed place to deliver the money. The two extortionists were arrested there. Surendra Thakur was earlier jailed with a West Champaran district case. SDPO Sadar K V Dhirendra said raids are underway to nab their other accomplices.
