Patna: The special investigation team (SIT) of Patna Police probing the leakage of question papers of now cancelled Intermediate level Bihar Staff Selection Commission examinations, on February 11 arrested two more persons.

Patna Senior SP (SSP) Mannu Maharaaj said that the arrested persons were identified as Anant Sharma and Gauri Shanker. He said that Sharma was an agent of BSSC secretary Parmeshwar Ram while Gauri worked for arrested AVN School, Patna, director. Meanwhile, police sources revealed that one Atal Behari Rai, a teacher at a Government High School at Rafiganj in Aurangabad district, has also been arrested by the SIT Patna team The team is engaged in carrying out raids at different places at Rafiganj and Kutumba in Aurangabad. When asked about the arrest, the SSP said that the news is yet to be confirmed.

SSP also said that a Patna Police team arrested father of Ruby Rai from Hajipur in connection with Inter toppers’ scam in 2016. It may be mentioned here that Inter examination results of 2016 were marked with corruption as the Inter topper Ruby Rai of Vaishali could not pronounce Political Science correctly before some private news
channel. During investigations, the fact came to the fore that the candidates had to cough up a huge cash to purchase their results. Several persons including Bachcha Rai director of a private Inter College in Vishali district in North Bihar,  and the then chairman of Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) were arrested in this connection.
