Ara : Two persons were killed and five others including two women and a minor child were injured on April 24, 2021, when a speeding bus collided head-on with a three-wheeler, motorcycles, and a bicycle in front of Udwantnagar police station (PS) on Ara-Sasaram main road in Bhojpur District.
Police brought the bodies to Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem and admitted the injured there. Two of the five injured were referred to Patna Medical College and Hospital in view of their critical condition.
Police seized the bus and arrested its driver and Khalasi. One of the deceased was identified as Rahul Kumar Gupta, 27, son of Vijendra Sah of village Taraw under Nasariganj police station in Rohtas district while the identity of an elderly deceased is yet to be established. Rahul Kumar Gupta was owner of a private hospital.
The injured were identified as Kusum Begum, wife of Md Kalamuddin of village Sikati under Gadhani police station in Bhojpur district, her two month old son Shahnawaz, Munni Khatun, wife of Tabarak Hussain, Lal Bihari Singh, owner of a private school at Gausganj under Ara town police sation and son of Kameshwar Singh of village Kharwath under Nokha police station in Rohtas district.
