Motihari : Armed criminals looted bike, cash, and cellphone from Moharlal Prasad, 46, a farmer of Fakira Tola under Mufassil police station, Motihari, in East Champaran District in North Bihar, on July 3, 2019, evening, near his village and then killed him. Police recovered the body from a roadside ditch. According to police, Moharlal Prasad was returning home from Dhekaha market when the criminals attacked him.
Shobha Devi, wife of the deceased, has lodged a case in connection against 6 named persons of Dhekaha market. She alleged that some persons had borrowed money from him and one of them had called him on July 3 evening to Dhekaha market to return his money.
SHO, Mufassil police station, Manish Kumar, said that police were investigating into the incident. Police suspects more than four persons had killed Moharlal Prasad as he was hacked to death and the body was thrown into a ditch near a bush.
In another incident, Ram Narayan Prasad, a farmer of village Basman, was brutally killed by criminals on July 2, 2019, evening, on Gorhwa-Basman road under Mufassil police station. He was also hacked to death by the criminals when he was going to Gorhwa market to purchase vegetables on his cycle. According to eye witnesses, some criminals who were following him by SUV, caught and killed him on the road. Sachindra Kumar, son of the deceased, has lodged a case against four persons in this regard.
Stabbed to death : A daily wage earner Ramu of village Majuraha under Raghunathpur police station was stabbed to death by
some criminals on July 4, 2019. Police remain clueless in this case too.
