Bokaro (Jharkhand) : The students of ARS Public School will face Adarsh Vidya Mandir while MGM School will take on GGPS Chas in the Boy’s segment whereas in the Girl’s category MGM School will compete with Ayappa School and The Pentecostal Assembly School will clash with GGPS Sector-V for the final berth at the two- day Inter- School Volleyball Tournament 2019-20 organised by DPS, Bokaro in Jharkhand, under Dr Radhakrishnan Sahodaya School Complex on November 29, 2019, on the school premises.
Rita Prasad, Principal, The Pentecostal Assembly School and Vice-President, Sahodaya School Complex, was the Chief Guest at the inaugural function. The event was also graced by the presence of D N Prasad, Director, The Pentecostal Assembly School.
Sixteen teams from across the city participated in the tournament. The programme commenced with the synchronised march past. Addressing the gathering, Chief Guest Rita Prasad said that participation is a victory in itself. Selection for any competition takes courage and it is the hallmark of winners.
Principal, DPS Bokaro, A S Gangwar, who is also the President of Dr. Radhakrishnan Sahodaya School Complex, in his address emphasised on the importance of building friendship through these competitions. He said that the true purpose of education is to enable a balanced growth of a human being. He quoted the famous athlete Jesse Owens, “Awards become corroded, friends gather no dust.”
