Bokaro ( Jharkhand) : The two-day book fair ‘Avalokan’,  organised by DPS Bokaro in association with Bookfind, concluded on May 3, 2019. It was organised on the school campus with an objective to enhancing the close relationship between the Books and Students.  Chief Guest, Ranjeet Kumar, Additional District Judge, Bokaro, inaugurated the event on May 2, 2019..

Inaugurating the book fair, Additional District Judge, Bokaro, RanjeetKumar, appreciated the efforts of DPS, Bokaro, in organizing such an event and said that this fair will benefit both the students and the parents. Stressing on the need of inculcating good reading habits among the student, he suggested that books not only provide knowledge but they also help in the overall personality development.

The fair was open for the students and their parents. It had a wide array of books by popular and renowned writers like Enid Blyton, J  K Rowling, Dan Brown, Ruskin Bond, R K Narayan, Sudha Murthy, Dr. A P J Kalam, and Napolean Hill.

Principal, DPS Bokaro, A S Gangwar stressed on the need to inculcating good reading habits among the students. “Reading is an effective skill that can bring about the growth of ideas, thoughts and imagination. It is reading which ultimately helps develop other additional skills like writing and speaking,” Gangwar said on the inaugural day.

Vice-Principals:  Pravin Kumar Sharma, Dr Manisha Tiwari, and P Shailaja Jayakumar, Headmaster Anjani Bhusan, Headmistresses : Manisha Sharma, Shalini Sharma, and Sunita Bhardwaj along with other teachers and students were also present on the occasion.
