Patna: Patna police on Thursday morning claimed to have cracked the case of murder of BJP state executive committee member Ashok Jaiswal by arresting two people named in the FIR.

Senior SP, Patna, Manu Maharaj said Jaiswal’s son had recently married a girl of his neighbourhood from a different caste.The girl too told the police her parents were opposed to the inter-caste marriage and had threatened to eliminate the family.She alleged her father and uncle pumped four bullets into Jaiswal’s body at his residence on Gola Road where he had returned from the BJP sponsored Tiranga yatra.
Danapur observed partial bandh in protest against the murder. Jaswal’s funeral was attended by the former deputy  chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi, party MLA from Digha Sanjeev Chaurasia and former MLC Ganga Prasad.
