Ara : The Government Railway Police (GRP), Ara, arrested two armymen along with 64 bottles of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) from Ara railway station under Danapur Division of the East Central Railway, Hajipur, around 11pm on June 6, 2019. Later, police sent them to jail after lodging a named FIR against them under the Prohibition & Excise Act.

The arrested armymen were identified as Pradeep Prasad, son of Surendra Prasad of Piro Ward No 8 under Piro police station in Bhojpur district, and Gaya Prasad of village Ahiyara under Karapi police station in Arwal district. Pradeep Prasad is posted in Himachal Pradesh while Gaya Prasad is posted at Ambala.

SHO, GRP, Rajnath Rai said that he got information that IMFL is being brought over in the army bogie of Punjab Mail. He said as the Punjab Mail reached platform No 1 at Ara railway station, police searched the army bogie and arrested two armymen: Pradeep Prasad and Gaya Prasad, along with 64 bottles of IMFL.
