Ara : Some Ara based social organisations are distributing foodgrains, masks, sanitiser, handwash, cooked food, and other essential commodities among the poor and needy in Bhojpur district during the lockdown period. Lok Jagriti Prakritik Arogya Kendra, a unit of Lok Jagriti Ara, and Agrasen Samiti, Ara, made sanitiser, handwash, and masks while food was cooked on the campus of Lok Jagriti Prakritik Arogya Kendra at Hari Jee Ka Hata and distributed the same among the poor and the needy.

The sanitiser and handwash were made and distributed to help the needy fight coronavirus. Sanitiser and handwash were distributed among at least 2,000 persons while masks were distributed among 200 persons free of cost on May 3, 2020. Foodgrains and cooked food were also distributed among 75 poor and needy persons on the day.

Speaking on the occasion, Secretary, Lok Jagriti Ara, Rajiv Nayan Agrawal, said that the sanitiser and handwash were made using alum, camphor, aloevera, neem leaves, tulsi, lemon and alcohol and added that all these ingredients are used in disinfection. He said the sanitiser and handwash will be very much useful in checking Coronavirus. He appealed the people to sanitise their hands every 30 minuteĀ  and sanitise even their houses.

Social workers Dinesh Kumar, Shweta Dubey, Sakina Khatoon, Sonamati Devi, Khushbu Kumari, Rita Devi, Anuradha, Shivani, and others contributed a lot in making sanitiser, handwash, masks, and preparation of food.
