Patna: RJD national vice-president and former Siwan MP Mohammad Shahabuddin was travelling in Rajendra Nagar -New Delhi Sampoorna Kranti Express’s S 2 sleeper coach without proper ticket on February 18, 2017. After the train left Patna junction, TTE started examining tickets of the passengers and found  Shahabuddin, who is being taken to New Delhi for transfer to Tihar Jail following an order of Supreme Court, without ticket.

The TTE slapped a fine of Rs 440 on Shahabuddin and charged railway fare between Patna and New Delhi stations.
The 49 policemen, who are escorting the former MP in the coach, too were fined as they too did not have valid challans or tickets. The police team is led by a deputy SP of STF. Due to security reasons, tickets were not booked
in advance for both the VIP passenger and policemen, claimed a GRP official.
