Tsonga, Benede reach final of ATP Moselle Open

Patna : World No 61 Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, 34, France, and World No 76 Aljaz Bedene, 30, Slovenia, will clash in the final of Moselle Open, at ATP 250 points event, at Metz, France, on September 22, 2019.

Tsonga, the 2008 Australian Open finalist, Wimbledon semi-finalist in 2011 & 2012, and French Open semi-finalist in 2013 & 2015, beat 4th seed Lucas Pouille, 25, France, the World No 26, in straight sets 7-6, 7-6 in 1 hr 50 minutes in  semi-finals on September 21, 2019. Tsong fired 6 Aces in the match to 3 by Pouille. He also won 2 games in a row in the match. None of the two players couyld wing any break point.

Bedene upset 3rd seed Benoit Paire, 30, France, the World No 23, 4-6, 6-1, 6-2 in 91 minutes in semi-finals on September 21, 2019. The Slovenian fired 7 Aces in the match to 4 by Paire. Bedene also won 4 break points in the match to 1 by Paire. He won 5 games in a row in the match to 3 by Paire. Bedene won 52 service points to 39 by Paire.
