Motihari : To expedite COVID-19 sample testing in the wake of huge influx of migrant workers from different states into East Champaran, TrueNat, a diagnostic machine, has been installed at the local T B Hospital near Motihari Sadar Hospital here . It was
inaugurated on May 25, 2020, by DM, East Champaran, Shirshat Kapil Ashok.
DM Ashok said that this machine can test 15 to 20 samples in a day and two more TrueNat machines would be installed
soon in the district for testing Coronavirus.
According to District Control Room sources, 76 persons have tested positive in the district while one patient had died due to Coronavirus in the district till date. More than one lakh migrant workers have been quarantined in East Champaran district .
