New Delhi : Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs and Chemicals & Fertilizers H N Ananth Kumar passed away after prolonged illness in Bengaluru on November 12, 2018.

To pay their tribute to the late Minister, Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs and Statistics & Programme Implementation Vijay Goel and Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs and Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation Arjun Ram Meghwal presided over the condolence meeting held in Parliament House Building here on November 12.

Both the Ministers reminisced instances from their long association with Ananth Kumar and asked the gathering to take inspiration from his life dedicated to public service. A two-minute silence was observed and floral tributes were offered to the late Minister by all present.

Dignitaries present on the occasion included Secretary General (Rajya Sabha) Desh Deepak Verma, Secretary General (Lok Sabha) Snehlata Shrivastava, Secretary (Parliamentary Affairs) S N Tripathi, along with other senior officers and staff of the Parliament and the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs, according to a PIB release.
