Trains running late on Narkatiaganj – Gorakhpur section

Bagaha: All the trains on Narakaiganj –  Gorakhpur section are running very late resulting in great hardships to the passengers. Due  to suspension of direct passengers train from here to West Champaran district headquarters Bettiah, passengers have to wait for two to three hours at Narakaiganj junction to catch another train.

Six pairs of Up and Down  passenger trains run daily on Narakaiganj – Gorakhpur section, but none runs punctually since implementation new timetable on October 1, 2016. On Friday, Gorakhpur – Narakatiaganj  55074 Down passenger train was late by  nearly four hours. Narakatiaganj – Gorakhpur passenger train 55073 Up was also running four hourand ,so was the case with other passenger  trains on the day. Super fast Saptkranti express trains (12558 Dn), which  runs from Delhi to Muzaffarpur via Bagaha, reached about two hour late on Friday.

One of the causes behind late running of passenger trains is gross negligence among the workers of Narakatiganj and Gorakhpur junctions, who never release the power in time although distance between Narakatiaganj to Gorakhpur is hardly about 150 km. Running of dozens of goods train daily on the section is said to be  another reason affecting late running of passenger trains daily.

.Daily passengers including Mukesh Kumar, Pintoo Kumar Pathak, Suresh Bhalotia ,R K  Dubey, Shyamnarain Pandey, who traval on the section daily, have sent several reminders to Divisional railway manager  (DRM), Samastipur, and Railways minister Suresh Prabhu urging them to look into the problems of  rail passengers of this section but to avail so far.
