Patna : In a sensational development, unidentified criminals killed a trading couple at their Srirampur Mahavirnagar, Bihta, residence, by smashing their heads with bricks in the wee hours on March 10, 2018, creating panic among the traders. Bihta, a fast emerging industrial area, is 39 km away from state capital Patna.
The deceased couple identified as Anita alias Phunni, 35, and Sunil Kumar Gupta, 42, owned a cosmetics shops at Bihta in Patna district. The SHO, Bihta Police Station, said that the couple was killed around 2 am on March 10, 2018. The couple had no issue, he said adding police were yet to arrest any suspect. The couple’s kin had lodged an FIR in connection with the twin murder but not named any accused, the SHO said. Property dispute is suspected to be the reason behind the twin murder.
It may be mentioned here that that Bihta has gained notoriety during the past few months due to a series of murders taking place there including that of a Cinema Hall owner.
