Tractor driver killed in rail accident in Samastipur

Muzaffarpur :  New Delhi – Dibrugarh Rajdhani Express crushed a tractor carrying sand at unmanned Harpur Bochaha Chatra Dhala under Vidyapatinagar Police Station on Barauni – Hajipur section of East Central Railway (ECR) in Samastipur district on January 30, 2018, morning, seriously injuring tractor driver Lakhan Rai who later died at a private hospital at Mohiuddinnagar during treatment. The deceased was a native of village Chaklal under Mohiuddinnangar police station in Samastipur district.

Divisional Railway Manager (DRM), Sonepur, Atulya Sinha, said that the damaged tractor was removed from the track soon and movement of trains on the section had resumed.
