Bagaha : Tirupati Sugar Mill, Bagaha, in West Champaran district has paid about Rs 1.91 crore to the sugarcane growers against total cane crushing of 71.72 lakh quintals till February 28, 2017, clearing 97.45% of their arrear. Y S Bhatanagar, General Manager(personnel) while giving details of the cane arrear payment said that eleven private sugar factories are running in the state of which Bagaha, Harinagar, Narakatiaganj, Majhaulia and Lauria mills fall in West Champaran. Bagaha Tirupati sugar mill tops the list in the matter of payment of sugarcane price. Harinagar Sugar mill stands second while Sidhawalia mill is placed at third position and Gopalganj Sugar mill at fourth position in the state.
