Bhabhua: Three youths were killed at village Piparia under Chand block in Kaimur district on Friday when they were repairing a waterpump in a dry well at the village. Police brought the bodies to Bhabhua Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. The deceased were identified as Ram Sagar Ram alias Kariman, 40, Pancham Ram, 30, and Guddu Ram, 35, of Piparia village.
Police said that the three deceased were repairing a waterpump inside a dry a well when a poisonous gas started emitting from the well killing them on the spot. Some daredevils of the village tried to pull out the bodies of the three youths but failed due to poisonous gas. Later oxygen cylinders were brought from Bhabhua Sadar Hospital and some persons entered the well with the help of the oxygen cylinders and pulled the bodies out of the well. Police are inquiring as to how poisonous gas emitted suddenly from the dry well.
