Ara : Bhojpur police, on a tip off, arrested three members of inter- district Mithilanchal Ganjg from Rasauli Mor under Hasan Bazaar police outpost during vehicle checking drive on Septemer 11, 2017, midnight while one its members managed to escape.

The arrested persons were identified as Md Akbar Hussain, son of Md Azmat Hussain of Bande village under Patauri police station in Samastipur district, Gagan Mandal, son of Kripal Mandal of Radhopur village under Rajnagar police station in Madhubani district, and Pawan Kumar Thakur, son of Gauri Shankar Thakur, of Mangarpatti village under Rajnagar police station in Madhubani district. The criminal, who fled away, was identified as Md Chand Mia of Bande village under Patauri police station in Samastipur district. Police also seized a countrymade pistol, two live cartridges, a motorcycle and a bunch of keys from their possession. Later, police also seized two stolen motorcycles from Mangarpatti village under Rajnagar police station in Madhubani district.

DSP, Piro, Reshu Krishna said that police were checking vehicles at Rasauli Mor under Hasan Bazaar police station on September 11 midnight when they saw four persons were going on a Apachy motorcycle without registration number. Police waved them to stop but they tried to escape. Ppolice chased and arrested three of them while the fourth managed to escape.

She said that the arrested miscreants revealed that their gang had at least a dozen members who with the help of Md. Asif and Md Babar of Bikramganj and Gupteshwar Chaudhary of Sanjhauli in Rohtas district commit crime in Bhojpur, Buxar, Kaimur and Rohtas districts. The miscreants also said that they loot motorcycle from these districts and sale them in Mithilanchal areas. The DSP stated that Gupteshwar Chaudhary had been in jail in connection with loot case and worked as liner for the local areas for the gang.
