Buxar : Three women were killed and 27 persons injured six of them seriously when a wall near which they were sleeping collapsed on May 25, 2018, morning, at Shyam Sundar Brahmsthan at village Kathar under Dumraon police station in Buxar district.

The bodies were brought over to Buxar Sadar Hospital for post-mortem while the injured were admitted there. The seriously injured persons were referred to Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH) in view of their critical condition.

Two of the three deceased were identified as Raj Muni Devi, 23, wife of Ram Babu of Chhitaunia village under Bihta police station in Patna district and Soni Devi, 30, wife of Gorakh Baitha of Giddha under Piro police station in Bhojpur district while the identity of third is still to be established.

Buxar DM Raghwendra Singh and SP Rajesh Kumar rushed to the spot and also visited Buxar Sadar Hospital to take stock of the situation and issued necessary directions. They said that the district administration has prepared a list of the deceased and injured and they might be given some compensation.

Buxar DM Raghwendra Singh said a week long fair has been organized at Shyam Sundar Brahmsthan at Kathar village. On May 25 morning, wind started blowing at a very fast pace due to which a wall where the people were sleeping fell on them killing three of them and injuring 27 persons.
