Gopalganj: Three persons including a father and son duo sustained serious injuries when a group of persons attacked them during a panchayati at village Bakhraur Pachpatiya under Barauli police station in Gopalganj district on December 25. The injured were first admitted to Barauli Primary Health Centre from where the father and son were referred to Gopalganj Sadar Hospital.
Locals said that Shivnath Yadav and Chandrashekhar Yadav had enmity for the past several years. On Sunday, Shivnath had called a panchayati in front of his house and Revenue employee of Usri (Baikunthpur) Sanjay Yadav, his brother Vijay Yadav and his father Chandradeo Yadav also reached there from Chandrashekhar’s side. However, a heated argument took place between both the groups and before the people could react to the situation, a brawl took place in which father and son sustained serious injuries.
On getting information, a Barauli police team reached the spot and recorded the statements of the injured. Raids are on to arrest the accused, police said.
