Ara : Police arrested three named accused in connection with murder of a farmer Devkant Rai at village Kusumhi under Tarari police station (PS) in Bhojpur District in South Bihar. Police sent them to jail after interrogation.

Police also recovered five blank cartridges, 12 live cartridges, and a .315 caliber rifle from the spot. The arrested miscreants were identified as Krishna Devi, wife of Dinesh Rai alias Suresh Rai, and her daughters Bachano Devi, and Nirasha Devi from the village.

Bhojpur SP Vinay Tiwari said that a retired Sub-Inspector (SI) had allegedly shot dead a farmer Devkant Rai, son of late Shiv Prasann Rai, at villageĀ  Kusumhi under Tarari PS on November 18, 2021. A named FIR was lodged with Tarari PS against six persons in this connection and police have arrested three of them so far, the SP added
