Patna : The three-day match between Board President’s XI and South Africa (SA) ended in a draw on September 28, 2019, at Dr P V G Raju ACA Sports Complex, Vizianagaram, Andhra Pradesh. The play was washed out on Day 1 due to rain.
Electing to bat after winning the toss, SA scored 279/6 in 64 overs with opener Aiden Markram ( captain) scoring 100 and Temba Bavuma scoring 87. Dharmendra Singh Jadeja took 3/66.
In reply, BP XI scored 265/8 in 64 overs with Priyank Panchal scoring 60 hitting 10 fours and a six while Srikar Bharat (wk) scored 71 in 57 balls with 7 fours and 5 sixes. Opener Mayank Agarwal scored 39 in 92 balls with 6 fours while Siddhesh Lad remained unbeaten on 50 in 89 balls with 7 fours and a six. Captain Rohit Sharma, who opened the innings with Agarwal, fell to Vernon Philander for zero.
SA spinner Keshav Maharaj took 3/35 while Vernon Philander took 2/27. Kagiso Rabada took 1/27.
