Three crushed to death in Sitamarhi

Sitamarhi: Three persons were crushed to death by a speeding truck near village Mananpur on Runnisaidpur-Pupri road in Sitamarhi district on December 25  night. The deceased:  Ram Balak Sahni (35), Pramod Sahni (25) and Tilak
Sahni, 40, were residents of village Mananpur, and were coming to Runnisaidpur block headquarters  on a bike when a Pupri bound truck crushed them to death.

Angry villagers blocked the NH77 for several hours on December 26 causing problems to daily commuters. They, however, lifted the blockade after assurance of appropriate action by police under the leadership of SHO Shiv Narain  Ram. Police seized the truck and motorbike but the tdriver escaped taking advantage of darkness.
